Leena Pendharkar and Jane Kelly Kosek (writers/directors/producers) @leenapend @janekk

WHO: Leena Pendharkar is a writer and director who’s worked on several web series as well as feature films. Jane Kosek is a producer with a long list of credits to her name. The pair form the core team behind the interesting and varied YouTube channel “So Natural TV” and recently collaborated to bring us the highly hipsterish and extremely enjoyable web series “Overly Attatched Andy“.

WHY: It’s important to emphasize the importance of creating a brand around your name and resume; as an independent creator who doesn’t take this advice, you could easily become trapped tending to one series for years instead of flourishing and creating a stream of quality content to have to your name.

Pendharkar and Kosek are noteworthy for understanding this wisdom, and appropriately building a brand together to allow themselves a stable bedding from which launch their latest and greatest shows. So Natural, a sketch comedy written and directed by Pendharkar over a year ago is exceptional in that it’s become so much more than a web series.

Launching So Natural TV as a destination for new series, DIY/beauty/fashion and crafts tips, sketch comedy shows and short films has put Pendharkar and Kosek in an enviable position – able to continue producing great and varied content, secure in knowing they’ll have a logical place to house it where it can continue to work for them. If Overly Attached Andy is an indication of the kind of high-quality, entertaining programming that So Natural TV can put out, I look forward to their next production.

So wonderful to be included! Thank you so much!

Just one clarification, though, Standard Action is most definitely my own series, where as Space Cab is not - I am helping to produce it and will probably appear in it, but it is the brainchild of Vancouver comedian, writer and actor Eric Fell.

Thanks for the clarification. I had some difficulty digging up info on the new series - I'll update the post to reflect! Looking forward to seeing some Space Cab regardless.
