Partnered with the usual suspects, such as the Hollyweb, LA, Marseille, Melbourne and Roma WebFests, the Vancouver WebFest aims to “shine a spotlight on extraordinary web series creations”

The festival will be accepting local, as well as international, independent web series talent, and will feature the usual pre-launch celebrations, screenings and panels, concluding with the awards ceremony itself. The event will be held in Vancouver’s Imperial Theatre and take place on the 2nd, 3rd and 4t of May, 2014.

Regular Submissions are now open for the event, and will be until the 15th of December. Regular submission costs $65, and requires that your series has at least three episodes available online. Late submissions run for a further month after the close date, at $80 an entry (so get in quick).

There are 16 categories for award, boasting the usual suspects such as best drama, actor, actress, comedy, etc. Some unusual categories that stand out are best horror, best overall series, best musical and best app based series. The full list can be found HERE.
